Register a domain alongside hosting and we will point it at your account and issue the SSL certificate. Nothing for you to configure.
Transfers
Moving a domain to us

Unlock it at your current registrar
Turn off the transfer lock and ask them for the authorisation code (sometimes called an EPP or auth code).

Start the transfer with us
Enter the domain and the code. Transferring adds a year to your registration, so you do not lose the time you have already paid for.

Approve the email
The registrant address gets a confirmation email. Approve it and the transfer usually completes within five to seven days.

Domain questions
Yes. We do not sell domains on their own — every domain we register or hold has to be attached to a live hosting account here. It works the other way round, though: you can host with us and leave your domain wherever it is now, just pointed at your account.
Domain pricing is set by the registries, so it can change — but we pass on the actual cost rather than using a cheap first year and an expensive renewal. If a registry raises a price we will tell you before your renewal, not after.
Yes, alongside a hosting account with us — we do not take transfers on their own. The domain needs to be more than 60 days old, unlocked and not already in a transfer, and you will need the auth code from your current registrar. The transfer adds a year to your registration.
You will need to transfer it away within five business days of the hosting account closing. We will give you the auth code straight away and will not hold it up — but we cannot keep a domain here once there is no hosting attached to it. If it has not moved within that time we remove it from our systems and let it expire at its renewal date. So if you want to keep the domain, transfer it before the account closes — recovering a lapsed domain is expensive at best, and often impossible.
We email you well before expiry, and again afterwards. Most extensions have a grace period during which you can still renew normally — but do not rely on it, because redemption fees after that are steep and set by the registry.
No. DNS management is included with every domain and you can change records yourself whenever you like. If you would rather we did it, just ask.
